Our innovative event is a twist on traditional interviews lasting 150 minutes. We invite employers from The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For along with confident young people seeking employment. We describe it as a mix between speed-dating and a standard interview, as you get to sit down in 5-minute speed rounds with some of The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For with the aim of securing an on the spot offer or a follow up interview at their offices. We aim to get you 3 interviews. Depending on the event we also have free resources available like C.V critiques and employment counsellors to help increase your chances of successful employment.
Address: 150 London Wall, London, EC2Y 5HN
To ensure that we are only offering the highest quality careers we only invite employers from The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For. We can’t list the specific employers that will attend on the day as they change for each event, but if you’re successful in the application process we give you their information so you can prepare.
We also enjoy working with upcoming, innovative companies so we work mainly with the ‘100 Best Small Companies’ within that list. Full details available here: http://appointments.thesundaytimes.co.uk/article/best100companies/
What kinds of careers are available?
As we’re looking to prove the link between communication skills and earnings the careers that are available are recruitment careers. They are all fast-paced, engaging with the potential to earn very high salaries.
More details on the specific roles available will be given to you in the lead up to the event.
What does the day involve?
The day involves a series of speed interviews – 5 minutes each. We guarantee you a minimum of three interviews, and depending on the event there will be other free resources available like C.V. critiques and employment counsellors. Our aim is to do everything in our power to get you a career on the day.
What is the process?
The first step is to use the button above to book a ticket to our event. You will have to fill out your details and answer a few basic questions so we can get an idea of what kind of person you are and what career you’re after.
Then you’ll receive a 5 minute call from one of our Talent Team who will formally invite you to the event or let you know if we think there is an issue. They will then schedule a 15 minute skype call where we give you all the information on the careers available and the employer’s attending on the day. The aim of the skype call is to help you be as prepared as possible for the event.
On the day of the event you will have a minimum of 3 interviews with employers and try to secure an on-the-stop offer or a follow up interview at their offices.
What experience/qualifications do I need?
None. We believe that with confidence, determination and excellent communication skills you can have a successful career in recruitment without any qualifications or experience.
The employers we work with all have excellent training programmes to help build up your skills.
Can I secure a career on the day?
Yes, it’s totally possible to impress an employer so much in your 5 minutes that they give you an on-the-spot offer. Usually they will request a follow-up interview at their offices so you can learn more about them as a company and they can find out more about you.
What if i’m not successful?
We host free weekly workshops that help increase your chances of success employability which you’re welcome to attend. Also, if we feel that you were overlooked then we invite you to the next event which will usually have a different set of employers.
What do I need to bring?
Full details of what you need to bring on the day will be covered by a member of our Talent Team when they get in touch.
Will travel be expensed?
Unfortunately no. With an estimated 50 people attending on the day we cannot cover travel expenses.
What is the dress code?
Dress as if you were going to an interview. You’re trying to impress potential employers so we recommend full business dress (suit/tie) with minimal jewellery.
